"Rising in elegant curves on an oval floor plan , two staircases lead upward offering a view down into the grotto and culminating in a magnificent domed hall Light pours in from the sides and above – a stunning interplay of movement, light, and space.⁠

Grotto, staircase, and domed hall form a harmonious unit that is truly one of a kind.⁠
⁠
Starting in 1728, Balthasar Neumann took over the construction management and in 1731 transformed the original design into one of the most ingenious staircases of the Baroque period With a keen sense of space and proportion, he created an architectural icon that has made Bruchsal Palace famous far beyond the region" ⁠

"The C H I N E S E Kitchen at Tureholm Castle in S

"The C H I N E S E Kitchen at Tureholm Castle in Sweden is an 18th-century room created in the chinoiserie style, reflecting Europe’s fascination with East Asian art. Commissioned by Count Thure Gabriel Bielke and painted by Carl Fredrik Engelkrona between 1744 and 1746, it was never used for cooking. Instead, it showcased a large collection of blue-and-white porcelain. The room features painted motifs of pagodas, exotic birds, and Chinese figures, all set against faux-marble walls and a dramatic ceiling. Though the porcelain is gone, the richly decorated space remains a poetic tribute to the era’s decorative tastes" via @alidad_ltd⁠

O V E R B U R Y Court which opened today as part of Overbury and Conderton open gardens....⁠

"A 10 acre historic garden, at the centre of a picturesque Cotswold village, nestled amongst Capability Brown inspired Parkland. The Garden compromises vast formal lawns skirted by a series of rills and ponds which reflect the ancient plane trees that are dotted throughout the garden. The south side of the house has a formal terrace with mixed borders and yew hedging, overlooking a formal lawn with a reflection pool and yew topiary. Running parallel to the pool is a long mixed border which repeats its colours of silver and gold down to the pool house" via www.ngs.org.uk ⁠

"The P R I V A T E writing cabinet in the Könings apartment was one of the first premises of the New Palace, built for Friedrich II. have been set up. Here the ruler devoted himself to his correspondence in complete retreat, surrounded by precious furniture and fine china.⁠

The fine murals and the neglect of lush gold-plated plastering on the walls emphasize the private character of the room.⁠
⁠
A feature of the writing cabinet are two large wall mirrors made of porcelain. The creator of these masterful works of art was the model master Friedrich Elias Meyer, who created them in the Royal Porcelain Factory in 1768. Meyer had left the manufacturing in Meissen shortly before and was spoiled in Berlin".⁠
