An antique French Napoleon III sewing box in wood veneer with inlaid brass inlays c.1860. The lid has a traditional boulle marquetry tortoiseshell, Mother of pearl and brass cartouche. It has been left blank for the owners to engrave their initials. The interior reveals a mirror and sewing accessories in brass. The box has a working lock. This sewing kit would make a lovely gift.
