$3,200.00
An elegant mid-century Louis XVI–style round side table, often described as a bouillotte table or guéridon. Inspired by the refined French designs of the late 18th century, it features a pierced brass gallery surrounding the top and a geometric marquetry-inlaid frieze. The design reflects classic Neoclassical Louis XVI characteristics, with straight, tapered legs and balanced geometric detailing. The table is crafted from fine veneers likely mahogany, kingwood, or rosewood arranged in decorative parquetry or marquetry patterns. Brass or gilt-bronze style mounts accent the piece, including the decorative frieze elements and gallery rail. A single working drawer is set within the frieze, with a matching faux drawer and escutcheon to the reverse for symmetry. The table is further supported by a lower tier stretcher, providing both stability and an additional display surface. Wear commensurate with age.
Please note: The photos show the table as more red that it actually is in the flesh.
