A French mid century LXVI Bouillote wooden coffee Table with an ebonised frame, brass gallery and shaped white Carrara marble top. There are two sleeve pull outs with leather inlay and two very useful drawers. The Bouillotte (pronounced ‘boo-yacht’) table refers to a round table on which people played “bouillotte”, a card game originating in France in the 18th century similar to poker. Its main characteristic is a Carrara marble top, ringed by a metal gallery. The design has been redesigned in shape and size to fit modern interiors…the Bouillotte table will find its place in the living room or the bedroom as a coffee table or a side table.
