An antique George III period feldspathic stoneware tankard by Davenport. The light stoneware body is decorated with engine turning to the base. The central body decorated with a hinting scene “death of the fox”. The neck of the tankard and top half of the scroll handle is covered in a chocolate brown glaze. The tankard holds over a quart. Circa 1800 – 1810.
