A rare collectors vintage table lamp attributed to French artist Henri Fernandez (born 1945), dating from the 1970s. This sculptural art piece masterfully combines lighting with decorative art, showcasing Fernandez’s signature organic aesthetic. The lamp features a gilded bronze and brass composition of palm leaves and water lilies, arranged around a central flat agate stone. When illuminated from beneath, the agate emits a soft, diffused glow that enhances the stone’s natural veining and translucence. This beautiful table lamp was made for Maison Honoré, Paris, and is a superb example of 1970s French sculptural lighting, blending artistry, nature-inspired design, and luxurious materials. The lamp has been re wired to NZ standards and it retains its original shade but it does require re covering. the lamp has light wear consistent with age and use.
