An orange cut-to-clear crystal vase designed by Joseph Simon for Val Saint Lambert. The Formose model was created for the 1935 Universal Exhibition in Brussels and later appeared in the 1938 VSL catalogue. This striking piece of crystal craftsmanship weighs just over 2kg. Val St Lambert is a Belgian crystal glassware manufacturer, founded in 1826 and based in Seraing. It is the official glassware supplier to King Albert II. The pure VSL crystal is known as one of the clearest in the world. Each product is unique, hand blown and hand cut with the glass techniques handed down through generations.
