A beautifully composed Impressionist still life oil on canvas by the Belgian artist Louis Demesmaeker (1906–1989). The painting shows a vibrant arrangement of flowers and an antique Chinese porcelain bowl . The work exemplifies Demesmaeker’s refined brushwork and keen sense of colour, characteristic of his Impressionist style. The painting is set within a linen slip frame, gilded and ebonised for an elegant finish. There is one very small painting loss that needs repair.
