Antique polychrome Madonna and child statue c.1880

A hand-carved wooden figure depicting Mary holding the Infant Jesus. She is beautifully carved and has a lovely polychrome (Painted) finish. Both Mary and the Christ child have glass eyes, a good sign of quality. She is in really good condition as all fingers are intact…just one small loss to the crown. She can be dated to the last quarter of the 19th century.

I have also shown her pictured in an antique glass dome which protects and displays her perfectly. The dome can be purchased for an additional $800.00.
