An antique French processional embroidered church banner from the late 19th century. Gold metal and thread embroidery against a background of cream Moire silk and finished with gold bullion fringes. The banner is reversible and has a blue silk cross adorned with embroidered lilies (symbolising humility and devotion) to the reverse.
