A refined set of six antique porcelain cabinet plates and matching platter, produced in England in the late 19th century by esteemed makers Coalport. Each plate is centred with a finely hand-painted landscape, typical of the popular Victorian “Named View” series, depicting romanticised scenes of Britain’s most celebrated scenery—often Scottish lochs and historic sites. Subjects  include views inspired by Loch Lomond, Loch Awe, Kilchurn Castle, Loch Ranza, and Linlithgow Palace—all celebrated for their dramatic landscapes and historical associations. The plates are beautifully framed by a rich cobalt blue ground, edged with a gently scalloped rim and lavishly embellished with raised gilt decoration in an intricate scrolling foliate pattern. Crafted from fine white porcelain, they do exhibit natural age-related crazing to the glaze, a characteristic feature of pieces from this period.
