A French Fumeurs Flamans metal and horn tobacco box
From the mid 1600s to the mid 1800s, snuff was enjoyed by all classes and was much more popular than smoking. Snuff is a smokeless tobacco made from ground or pulverised tobacco leaves which was very good for clearing the head.
