A his and hers (monsieur & madame) pair of Louis XVI style painted bergères with carved paper twist arched top frames. The side wings sweep down to padded arms terminating in scrollwork handles. The legs are displayed with a floral motif capital with the painted frame showing nice patina and wear. The vintage upholstered has been updated with a close run of bronze effect brass round tacks. The cushions have feather inners so lovely and comfortable. The chairs are of slightly different sizes and frame; a common and intentional design difference.
