A collection of antique Belgian Val St Lambert paperweights and an inkwell/pen holder. The name sulphide comes from the use of sulphur in the early manufacturing of these artistic gems in the late 19th century. The sulphide within is usually made from a glass paste and/or clay (ceramic) material that is completely encased within the glass. Most have inclusions in the glass which is quite common.
