An antique 18th century French copper kitchen fountain (lavabo) with water tank and wash basin. It is made from a heavy gauge antique French Copper. On top of the lid is a large copper finial / handle and on the bottom of the tank is an elegant, solid brass water tap and spout.

The wash basin has a lovely shape. On each side there are big solid copper D shaped carrying handles to empty the used water, riveted to the main body by large copper rivets. All of the edges are rolled over and all of the joints are finely castellated and soldered. This piece would look great filled with potted herbs which would be easy to water!
