This striking table lamp, crafted in Belgium around 1970, beautifully echoes the distinctive style of designer Willy Daro. At its core is a substantial amethyst cluster geode, securely held within a sculptural bronze armature that highlights the crystal’s natural beauty. The colour of amethyst varies from dark to light purple depending on the amount of light hitting the stone. The lamp is mounted on an elegant brass and lucite base, and topped with a uniquely shaped vintage beige fabric shade in a soft curved form (the shade will require recovering). The lamp remains in good original vintage condition, showing only minor signs of age and use. The lamp has been rewired to NZ standards with gold flex and an inline switch .The large amethyst centrepiece is traditionally believed to promote clarity, calm, and focused thinking, adding a serene and luxurious mid-century presence to any interior.
