A pair of French finely hand painted 19th century Quality Miniature Paintings of Napoleon Bonaparte (Born 1769 – Died 1821).  I can not be certain of the painted background material but it will be ivory, porcelain, or bone. Miniature portraits of Napoleon were popular during the Empire period and the 19th century. These miniatures were often set in decorative frames, such as the square wooden frames with a circular gilt surround as shown in these examples. They can be purchased separately.
