An elegant early 20th century gilt bronze chandelier in the Louis XVI style, featuring nine electrified candle-form lights arranged around a central baluster stem. The chandelier is richly adorned with numerous clear cut-glass and crystal drops, prisms, and spires that catch and refract the light. The central glass stem culminates in a large faceted spherical finial, adding visual weight and balance to the design. Decorative scrolling gilt arms and detailed crystal bobeches complete this refined neoclassical piece. The chandelier has been re wired to New Zealand standards.
